Call for Papers

Currently a high level of interest is being generated through the development of a wide and varied range of e-Systems: There are many high profile government projects, all around the world, seeking to transfer many public services and facilities to e-Systems; including a newly emerging trend in e-Democracy. Such large-scale systems are equally suitable for application in e-Business, e-Health, etc., with many common problems requiring solution. Technology enhanced learning presents many challenges, for instance, in changing perceptions on how the learning process is supported and delivered. Common to all e-Systems is a requirement for efficient governance leading as far as is achievable to the system itself handling all eventualities with as little human intervention as possible: Many ideas within Artificial Intelligence (AI) and more particularly Distributed Artificial Intelligence (DAI) may be brought to bear on providing autonomic type e-System management, for example. Likewise the security of e-Systems is a common feature across all sectors. What is clear is that an integrated holistic approach is required to provide a forum where general e-System problems, encountered across all systems, can be addressed in a coherent manner for solutions in the separate specific application domains. This conference is necessary to address a current gap in the market by possessing a focus on the overall development of these emerging technologies and providing a generic e-Systems forum to engage and unify the various disparate strands of research across the sector. Such a forum/publication does not currently exist.

The conference will cover a mix of highly relevant topics which are presented in an integrated form in this call for papers.
