Protected: Breast Cancer Detection in Fingernails Using Near-infrared Spectroscopy and Machine Learning

The enclosed dataset comprises near-infrared (NIR) spectra of fingernails taken from healthy (class 1) and breast cancer individuals (class 2) measured using the Viavi MicroNIR spectrometer (Viavi Solutions Inc., USA), that weights around 50 g and has dimensions of 45 by 42 mm (Figure 1). Participants diagnosed with breast cancer were of stages I (n = 1), III (n = 3) and IV (n = 2). Spectra were measured over the wavelength range of 980 – 1670 nm with resolution of 6.25 nm per pixel.
