Special Session 6

AI-empowered solutions to medical challenges and inequities

This special session is organised and supported by  the following educational partners

Alamein International University and Bright Skies, Egypt

Session Chair:

  • Prof Alaa Abouelfetouh, Alamein International University, Egypt

Session Co-Chairs:

  • Youssef Ghazal, Bright Skies, Egypt

  • Dr Hoshang Kolivand, Liverpool John Moores University, Liverpool, United Kingdom

Synopsis:

With the technology revolution, AI is at forefront of the fight against inaccurate, slow or expensive diagnostics, treatment failure due to resistance and lack of enough preventive measures. This session provides a timely and translational forum to share the latest in how AI applications can drive next generation medicine practice.  We invite researchers and developers to share novel AI tools, from foundational models to explainable systems, that deliver faster, affordable and effective healthcare solutions. The session will feature 7×7-minute flash talks, followed by Q&A for 10 minutes and a panel discussion for 30 minutes.

Topics:

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

  • Next-Generation Diagnostics: advanced ML and foundational models for timely and accurate disease detection.
  • Generative AI in Drug Discovery: Speeding up molecule identification and navigating complex pathways for fighting disease.
  • Advanced Medical Imagery: Deep learning for pattern recognition, computer-aided detection (CAD), and high-resolution imaging.
  • Smart Epidemiology: Precision public health through data-driven disease spread modeling and outbreak prediction.
  • Responsible AI in medicine: Ethics and Policy for Real-World Medical AI Deployment.
  • Physical AI in medicine: The intersection of AI, robotics, and the human body

 Paper Submission

Prospective authors are invited to submit full-length papers (not exceeding 6 pages) conform to the IEEE format . All papers will be handled and processed electronically via the EDAS online submission system
