Dhiya 1  Dr. Dhiya Al-Jumeily is an associated professor in eSystems Engineering and leads the Applied Computing Research Group at the faculty of Technology and Environment. He has already developed fully online MSC and BSc programmes and currently heads the enterprise activities at the School of Computing and Mathematical Sciences. Dr. Al-Jumeily has published numerous referred research papers in multidisciplinary research areas including: Technology Enhanced Learning, Applied Artificial Intelligence, Neural Networks, Signal Prediction, Telecommunication Fraud Detection and Image Compression. He is a PhD supervisor and an external examiner for the degree of PhD. He has been actively involved as a member of editorial board and review committee for a number peer reviewed international journals, and is on program committee or as a general chair for a number of international conferences. Dr. Al-Jumeily was appointed as a lecturer in Computer Systems in 1997. Prior to this, he was a scholar reading for a PhD in Applied Artificial Intelligence at Liverpool John Moores University, on the topic of Intelligent Tutoring Systems. He also worked at the same department as a research assistant in the area of statistical computing and managed to obtain his MPhil in 1995. Earlier, in 1987 he completed his BSc (Hons first class) in Mathematics at Baghdad University. He worked as a research assistant at Baghdad University in 1987-1990, where he was involved, as part of a large research group, in a number of projects. He then studied the Postgraduate Diploma in Mathematics at Liverpool University in 1991. Abir 1 Dr. Abir Hussain is a senior lecturer at the School of Computing and Mathematical Sciences at Liverpool John Moores University, UK. Hissam Professor Hissam Tawfik is a Professor of Computer Science with research expertise and interests in the areas of Biologically Inspired Computing, Health Informatics and Technology Acceptance.

Hissam has a research track record of more than 100 refereed journal and conference publications and he is a visiting Professor at the University of Seville.

Hissam Tawfik holds a PhD in Computer Engineering from the University of Manchester (then UMIST) and has been actively publishing since 1997. His main research areas include Neural and Evolutionary Computing, ICT for Active Ageing, Technology Acceptance and Intelligent Systems and Simulation applications.

Some of the projects that Hissam is currently working on include the use of various neural network paradigms for time-series prediction, designing E-Health solutions to support active ageing and people with Dementia, and investigating cultural factors that influence the adoption of E-Health technologies. Hissam has previously worked on a number of EU funded research projects applying Virtual Reality Technology for construction and urban planning and led a British Council funded project on user-centred Health Informatics.

Atulya Prof. Atulya Nagar holds the Foundation Chair as Professor of Computer and Mathematical Sciences at Liverpool Hope University where He is the Head of the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science. A mathematician by training, He possesses multi-disciplinary expertise in Non-linear Mathematics, Natural Computing, Bio-Mathematics and Computational Biology, Operations Research, and Control Systems Engineering. He has an extensive background and experience of working in Universities in the UK and India. He has been an expert reviewer for the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC) grants peer-review committees for Bioinformatics Panel; Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) for High Performance Computing Panel; and serve on the Peer-Review College of the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) as a scientific expert member.He has edited volumes on Intelligent Systems, and Applied Mathematics; he is the Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Artificial Intelligence and Soft Computing (IJAISC) and serve on editorial boards for a number of prestigious journals such as the Journal of Universal Computer Science (JUCS). He has been Conference General Chair and member of the International Programme Committee (IPC) for several international conferences and have been invited to deliver keynote lectures at a number of such forums. He is well published with over 200 publications in prestigious publishing outlets and journals such as the Journal of Applied Mathematics and Stochastic Analysis; the International Journal of Advances in Engineering Sciences and Applied Mathematics; the International Journal of Foundations of Computer Science; the IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics; Discrete Applied Mathematics; Fundamenta Informaticae; IET Control Theory & Applications, to name a few.He received a prestigious Commonwealth Fellowship for pursuing my Doctorate (DPhil) in Applied Non-Linear Mathematics, which I earned from the University of York in 1996. He holds BSc (Hons.), MSc, and MPhil (with Distinction) from the MDS University of Ajmer, India. Prior to joining Liverpool Hope, I was with the Department of Mathematical Sciences, and later at the Department of Systems Engineering, at Brunel University, London.
