Synopsis:

Through the lens of advanced engineering and environmental sciences, we have created a special session that is tailor-made to fit the needs of the engineering industry and environment of the Mediterranean countries at large, and especially of Iraqi. Thirteen years after the first environmental conference, the Environmental Research and Studies Centre, and the Environmental Engineering Department in the University of Babylon, sought to improve the environmental development and sustainability of local and regional engineering industries, and find ways to halt the destruction of irreplaceable natural resources and pollution of the planet.
As a part of this strategy, the University of Babylon is holding this special session with the aim of shining a light on the recent dramatic changes in the Iraq environment due to the recent water scarcity, and terrorism, and its impacts on neighbouring countries. Additionally, to highlight the recent development in engineering industry. This theme focuses on employing the advanced technologies to enhance the Iraqi and regional environment and engineering industry. Additionally, this theme represents a good chance for researchers from different related scientific fields to learn, share, and exchange their experiences.

Topics:

This special session invites authors to submit high-quality research papers on the topics which include (but are not limited to) the following:

  • Advancements in water and wastewater treatment technologies.
  • Advancements in engineering researches.
  • Environmental Health.
  • Waste management in Iraq.
  • Impacts of climate change.
  • Risk and Environmental Management in the engineering industry.
  • Built cultural heritage and sustainable urban environment.
  • Environmental Design of Buildings.
  • Research, discovery, and characterization of pollutants.
  • Influences of landfills on the surrounding environment in Iraq.

Paper Submission:

Prospective authors are invited to submit full-length papers (not exceeding 6 pages) conform to the IEEE format . All papers will be handled and processed electronically via the EDAS online submission system.

Submission implies the willingness of at least one of the authors to register and present their papers.
