Synopsis
The term Environmental Health has regionally and globally emerged and grown due to continued population growth, industrial development, urbanisation and pollution. The understanding of causal effects between the complexity of our environment and various diseases is clinically and scientifically demarcated.
The aim of this Special Session is to not only serve as a forum to disseminate and exchange knowledge on the diverse aspects of the impact of environmental factors on health across different disciplines, but also to manifest issues relating to the association of health with the polluted environment, including water, soil and air. The interrelated bridge between environmental risk and health is regularly complex and involves a variety of societal, occupational and lifestyle factors. Hence, an interdisciplinary approach is necessary to contribute to the reduction of environmental impacts on public health.
