Synopsis

The increasing use of sensor technology and the digitisation of traditionally isolated analogue devices are transforming manufacturing and private dwellings around the world. This on-going revolution is often referred to as Industry 4.0. Real-time data informs the product value chain and digital applications are used for automating service allocation. Remote access to data is enabling manufacturers to improve their productivity through optimising traditionally laborious processes. Companies are able to reduce production times and up-scale their services through intelligent digital resource allocation using IoT (Internet of Things)-ready sensors and smart home devices. It is forecast that by 2020, the amount of data in existence will surpass 44ZB. Therefore, this special session invites authors to submit high-quality research papers on emerging big data analytics in critical systems (BDA-CS), covering topics which include (but are not limited to) the following:

  • Infrastructure Data Analytics
  • Cyber Security Systems
  • Intelligent gathering
  • Big Data Analytics
  • Simulation
  • Machine Learning
  • Intrusion Detection
  • Control Systems
  • Cloud Computing
  • Data Fusion
  • Web Services
  • Industry 4.0 Innovations
  • Data Visualisation
